It's time for the Danville K-6 Library Read-A-Thon!
Our school Read-A-Thon begins TOMORROW, April 6 and is sure to be a fun and exciting event.
We understand that your time is valuable. We also know that providing the best education for your child is important. That's why we are encouraging everyone to activate their student's Read-A-Thon account as soon as possible. The instructions are straightforward, making it quick and hassle-free, and it should take less than 5 minutes of your time.
Watch a short video to see how to signup your reader:

This account will serve as a hub for recording and monitoring your child's progress as a Reader in the event, and for you to share their Read-A-Thon message with friends and family. Use the link below to activate your student's Reader account:

We are hosting our 3rd annual Read-a-Thon soon! This fundraiser helps us continue to offer so many fun reading rewards to encourage our K-6 kids to keep reading! The more they read, the more likely they are to find books they love and to become lifelong readers. Please us continue to support a love of reading!
Our Read-A-Thon starts Monday April 6.
After spring break, we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/Yzyjby/1?utm=email and following the simple instructions.
We've chosen Read-A-Thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope everyone participates. Even if you don't think you'll be able to get many donations, sign up your child so they can log reading! That's one of the best parts of this kind of fundraiser--not only does it help us raise money, but it encourages students to read even more!
Thanks so much,

One of our Read Across America activities that 3rd graders love is reading the book, After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again, where Humpty Dumpty is scared of heights after his fall, but begins learning to make paper airplanes. After the book, we learn to fold a paper airplane and see whose can fly the best! #STEAM ... See MoreSee Less
